Desperately seeking Tasha

Introduction

Call it a mid life crisis, call it turning 40, call it having three kids, a cat and four chickens, doing self builds with my husband and constantly living in a mess I’m not sure but somewhere I may have lost myself. Definitely having children changes you doesn’t it. You go from being a career woman with a purpose, your own identity, space and independence to being a mother. You go through the baby stages in quick succession and it’s basically a blur that you really wish you remembered but in the end you’re so sleep deprived that you need photos and videos to remember how absolutely scrummy those noisy, dirty little guys truly were. I’m sure I must have taken the time to just look at them and sleep next to them aware of their gentle breathing but somewhere along the way they have grown up and now, still in primary school are really becoming proper human beings.... almost.....

Five and a half years ago our little family relocated, moved into a bungalow and have been building ever since! We sold all our previous houses that we’d collected along the way and focused on our ‘maybe’ forever home. We never say forever as we believe you should always keep your options open.

I worked for two years part time and then when the job required more hours decided to be a ‘stay at home mum’. With no children at home, it was a time to find myself and that is what I’m doing. In a public way but hey we all leave our mark some way or another. I hope you will join me on the way.....
